Kenneth “Kenny” George Jordan, Sr., 81, of Sandston, passed away March 31, 2014. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce L. Jordan and daughter, Kathy Pleasants. Kenny was a devoted member of Antioch Baptist Church, always lending a hand with any projects involved with the church. He is survived by his sons, Dennis Jordan (Cyndi) and Kenneth G. Jordan Jr. (Sherry); grandson, Kenneth Nicholus Jordan (Jamie); great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Madison, and Raegan; brothers, Bernard L. Jordan Jr. and Owen Jordan and sister, Carolyn Stevens. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 3, 2014 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, VA 23231, where a funeral service will be conducted on Friday, April 4, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation at 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
