Linda Ellen Deane

Linda Ellen Deane, 73, of Quinton, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was retired as the office manager for Mafco and enjoyed painting, arts, crafts, gardening, shopping, fishing and interior decorating. She loved her dogs, Hurley (deceased) and Pepper. She was preceded in death by her father, James Wilburn Backus; mother, Della May Keith Backus; brother, Homer Backus and sister, Edith Smith. She is survived by her husband, Cecil Payne Deane; son, Rodney P. Deane (Rhonda); daughters, Shelly Segan (Don) and Robin Wharton (Johnny); grandson, Allen Wharton; granddaughter, Whitney Gormes; great-grandchildren, Moxen and Maddox; nieces, Retha Bella and Trena Eplin; and cousin, Bribble Davis. The family will receive friends Monday, March 20, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S.
