

JOHNSON, Linda Hunt, 66, of Henrico, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday December 31, 2014, the same date eight years after her beloved “Aunt Dolly”. She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Jennings Hunt. Left to honor and cherish her memory are her mother Phyllis Long Freeman; sisters, Cathy Hall (Andy), Janice Burd (Ray), Sharon Saloutos (Lee); nieces, Kelly Boutchyard (Derek), Karly Hall; nephews, Dennis Robertson (Youn Kyoung), Phillip Hall; great nieces, Emerald Diane and Abigail Robertson; great nephew, Noah Boutchyard; best friend of 30 years, Dorthy Ricketts (Ron) and her faithful canine companion Dexter. Linda retired as secretary to the Dean, VCU School of Nursing. Her true passion in life was her art. Linda was a writer, poet, and performer. Her poetry gave insight into her faith, giving nature, and wit. Her favorite hobbies were buying and selling vintage jewelry, and going to flea markets and thrift stores. She was loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond VA., where services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 5, 2015. Interment will be at Washington Memorial Park.
