Linda Diane O’Dell “DeeDee”, 59, of Richmond, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, July 31, 2014. She is preceded in death by her mother, Irene Montgomery and her aunt, Gladys Russell. DeeDee was a Travis Tritt fan for 25 years and a collector of anything M&M. She loved to celebrate holidays, making treats for her family. Through years of sickness and hardships, DeeDee was a fighter and came through like a trooper. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 40 years, Edwin G. O’Dell; sons, Robert E. and Michael R. O’Dell; daughter, Amy Howard; grandchild, Cody O’Dell; father, Robert Lee Dolan; cousin, Darlene Wood; sisters-in-law, Marie Shifflett and Cheryl Jordan; and beloved best friend, Kathy Jefferson. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 11, 2014 from 2-5pm at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Richmond, VA 23231.
