

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Carroll K. Davis and Trudy Campbell Davis. She built a dedicated career as an investment accountant and was proud of her work with Virginia Retirement Systems. A woman of strong faith, she was a devoted member of First English Lutheran Church of Richmond.
Peggy graduated from Highland Springs High School with the Class of 1966 and continued her education at Smith-Massey School of Business, where she earned recognition on the associate dean’s list. Throughout her life, she was actively involved in her community and organizations she held dear. She served as Honored Queen of Bethel No. 27, International Order of Job’s Daughters, and served as Worthy Matron of Naomi Chapter No. 4, Order of the Eastern Star. Peggy was also known for her love of travel, embracing the opportunity to see the world and experience new places.
She loved dogs and playing card games.
She is survived by her brother, Kemp Davis, and her sister, Carolyn Franz. She also leaves behind her nephews, Trey Davis and Kevin Davis, along with their wives and children, all of whom she cherished deeply, and her best friend of 65 years, Nanette Colley, who was by her side when she passed, and a dedicated friend for over 40 years, Keith Hinerman of Highland Springs.
Peggy will be remembered for her kindness and grounded faith, who valued her family deeply and the lasting impact she made on those who knew and loved her.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Nelson Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA, on Tuesday, May 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the First English Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1603 Monument Ave., Richmond, VA 23220, on Wednesday, May 6, at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Washington Memorial Park, Sandston, VA. Flowers are accepted, or donations may be made to the SPCA.
