Mary Alma Maddox Puckett, 95, of Sandston, passed away on Friday, October 13, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Ralph E. Puckett; grandson, Brian E. Puckett; and seven siblings. Mary was a lifetime member of New Bridge Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and being outside. Mary was a loving mother and grandmother, who will be greatly missed. Left to cherish her memory are her children; Vickie P. Story (Michael Mitchell) and Steve A. Puckett (Janet); granddaughter, Vanessa P. Patel (Amit); great-grandchildren, Delilah, Noah, Gabriel and one on the way - Leo; special friend, Mildred Erwin; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 17, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231, where a funeral service will take place on Wednesday at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to New Bridge Baptist Church or the ASPCA.
