Mildred S. Burnette

BURNETTE, Mildred “Millie” Saunders, 75, of Chesterfield passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 14, 2019. She was preceded in death by her son, Floyd Burnette, Jr.; parents, Woodrow and Mabel Saunders; sister, Jean Drumheller; and brother, Franklin "Sonny" Saunders. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jeff Burnette (Kathy) and Gail Blakley (Ricky, Sr.). She loved and was so proud of her five grandchildren; Ricky Blakley, Jr. (Rosanna), Lee Blakley (Brittany), Angela Adinolfi (Quinton), April Burnette, and Molly Burnette. Mildred adored her four great-grandchildren; Grace, Dani, Bryson, and Damon. She has a very loving and devoted sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Norman Booze. They are truly Angels here on Earth for the love and care they so graciously gave to Mildred. The family would also like to thank James River Hospice for their care and support, especially Angela and Shanita. Mildred retired from HCA after 30 years of dedicated service. She loved spending time with her family, Nascar, and the Dallas Cowboys. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 from 1-2 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231 where a funeral service will immediately follow at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Washington Memorial Park.
