Hey Mom,
Im eating at Romas in Mechanicsville, waiting for the bread to come out. I just remember you telling me that you and Dad loved going to the one in Sandston just for the bread alone.
I dont have anyone here to step on the scale in front of so Ive put on a little weight, more than my 10lbs I toss up and down. Please send me restraint and motivation. I think my depression has played a part in it as well as losing you. Its not the same without you here. I miss you Mom. Sometimes I feel alone and that I dont have a family anymore. I know this isnt true but its strange when you dont have at least 1 parent around.
I went to the Urologist today and had a Cystoscopy. The stones in my bladder are gone. I have to have my vision checked tomorrow. Makes me laugh when I had my vision corrected and didnt tell you. Remember what you said? You were mad and said Im not going to tell you when Im going to die. I love you Mom. Time to eat, yum yum.


I had the craziest thing happen today. My Wii which is the thing I have set up to my tv to play games. I actually use it as exercise. Anyway, about 4-5 months ago a CD Disk got stuck and wouldnt eject. I spent countless hours trying to get the disk out. I used a knife, shook it, plugged it into other outlets, looked at YouTube for suggestions, etc. So today I take it to Game Stop to trade it in for a new one. The guy working there tells me that I need to bring the controller and nunchuck in to trade it in, which I didnt bring. He was nice enough and said he would try to get the disk out. He said it sounded like it was making the noises that it should and asked if I knew for sure there was truly a disk inside. I was 99.9% sure but I said maybe I dont. Anyway he got out a disk and the Wii took it and ejected the disk with no problem. I felt so sillly and embarrassed. Needless to say, I didnt trade it in. Im so happy it was fine. Love You, gotta go.

Hi Mom,
Been thinking about you all week. Lee and I have been doing a gravel driveway and landscaping, which reminds me of you and I working in the yard. Ive been doing a lot of raking and my arms, shoulders and back are killing me. Im actually enjoying it and its like exercising but not feeling it until the evening comes. 
I missed the Pick 4 today. I forgot the one extra number I should have played but didnt. 5-2-3-7 (2/5 second girl. 5th child, also your Anniversary. 32 youre birth year and 27 Dads). I even saw a license plate but didnt play it. Funny the night before I dreamed that someone sent in a bag of bingo/lottery balls and I even opened the bag and saw numbers but couldnt remember which ones I saw. Im so used to not dreaming but ai finally got a new C-Pap and mask. Ive been sleeping so soundly and dreaming all kinds of stuff. I had another dream with you in it, but I cant remember it now.

Spunky put his head through the railings on the porch, something he doesnt normally do. Anyway, 2 school buses rode by and he watched them as if he was expecting you to pull up and get off. I guess he was so used to watching you from the back yard pulling up, getting off and then getting in the house for so many years. Both dogs are doing well, but they miss you and so do I. 
Happy Belated Valentines Day!!! I thought I wrote you and talked about you coming in my dream. Actually, I know I did. Will send Legacy a note to find what the hold up is. Love love love you.

You know every time I let Spunky Monkey and Nosey out the side door to go to the bathroom, Spunky will come to the front door to be let back in. I figure that there are lesser steps at the side door, actually 2 if you count the one in the utility room. Well it finally donned on me!!! I totally forgot that Spunky lived here for years when you and Dad lived in this house, DUH!!! I forgot my #2. Thats actually an inside joke from an old co-worker named Bill at Health Examinetics. Ok good-bye, I love you always.

Happy Valentines Day Mom,
Im just waking up and had an amazing dream about you. You came back to life. We were talking and I wanted to know what you remembered before or as you were dying. You said you reached for the bed and came down on the floor. You felt as though you were a snake slithering around but not getting too far. I wanted to know everything. You looked really strong, healthy and amazing. We were watching a TV program and I asked you what button on the remote to push record so we could talk. Before I knew it, you wanted something that I had at my house and so I was getting ready to run home as quickly as possible with the dogs in tow. Next thing I know, Vickie or Christina was there with a pillowcase full of jewelry and casino money. Mike, Dickie and Alan were in the den. Everyone was just relaxing and sitting around. I said my normal hellos and kisses to everyone around. I was anxious to get home and quickly back because I wanted so desperately to talk with you. I wanted to ask if you remembered me laying next to you after you died. What you remembered and how you felt. Next thing you know I woke up and you were gone dag gonnit. It was awesome having you there, so please come back often. I love you Mom.

Ok Mom, 
So Maryanne and I went out to eat at Lees Chicken and then to the movies, which is our normal Tuesday night outing.
We saw 2 movies. The first was the Clint Eastwood movie 12:09 to Paris which was the true story of 3 friends taking the train to Paris while backpacking in Europe. Anyway they kept a terrorist from taking many lives. The second movie was the Darkest Hour about Winston Churchill. It was really good.
Anyway after the show I made a long trip to the bathroom and when I returned, Maryanne and I were talking and laughing about the accidents weve had. Well before you know it, I had to run back to the bathroom. Well I thought I was alone until a toilet flushed about 4 or 5 stalls away. I was like, I thought I was alone. I put my head down and looked at all the other stalls. There was no one there. Even when I finished I could see all the doors open and then I realized it was you. I told Maryanne it had to be you because of the number of conversations weve had about our own catastrophes with certain functions in the bathroom.

Mommyo This is your #5,
Wanting to let you know that I love you and I miss you everyday. I was just telling Dad that there was a movie once about a son wanting to see his Mom one last time. In the movie she comes to him and they spend the whole day together. I cant remember if he thought it was a dream and in the end realizes it wasnt. Maybe you can talk to the big wigs up there or God himself and ask if you and Dad could spend the day with me. Ill keep that thought in my thoughts and prayers.
I called this place called Medcure out of Oregon about donating my whole body to science when I die. This could literally save the lives of hundreds of people by allowing Doctors to use your body to further their advancements in medicine, diseases, cures, technology, etc; I usually put myself as a donor on my Drivers License. This way however, theres no funeral expenses to worry about. They will cremate my body and send it back to my loved ones or scatter my remains at sea. I figure since I have no husband or children, Ill have my ashes scattered at sea. You know how much I love the water, lol.
Ok so to more serious stuff. I figured since my numbers havent come in, something is wrong. Either Dad has not had the chance to talk to the Lottery or Bingo Gods yet, who knows how long that line is? Or he doesnt know the numbers I play to win. I used to use his numbers 6-9-17-24-33-39 but, then I got to thinking, there are 8 of us in our family and I should use numbers that represent us. So my numbers are 13-20-25-26-27-30. Now on the Cash 5 I drop my number since theres only 5 numbers. On the Cash For Life you have to play the final number as 1-2-3 or 4, so I use 3 for me. Now I play the exact numbers for every game I play. I figure this will increase the odds in my favor just a little bit more.
Well Mom Im going to go for now. I want to make sure I clean the house in case you and Dad come to see me one last time. Im not so worried about Dad but I know you like a clean house. I do too, but this depression has got me down, more so than usual. Besides my house has always been a little bit messy, but now it even bothers me, lol. I love you guys so very much. I was truly blessed to have you two in my life.

Another beautiful dream last night. You called me on the phone. I didnt look at the number or person calling me which is unusual because I dont answer calls from numbers I dont know. Anyway I said hello and you said where have you been? Thought youd call or something. I said who is this? And you said its your Moma. We started talking just like it was nothing. I was in the car rushing to get to Robin at some apartment complex so she could hear you too. I asked you where have you been? and you said Ive been with Joey Woody. By the time I got to Robin, Tamara, Jay and the boys at this apartment I put you on speaker phone so they could hear I was talking to you, but you were gone. While I was on the phone with you it showed that I was talking to Mom home which I know 737-0860 is now disconnected. But when I showed my phone to Robin there was nothing. I loved talking to you Mom, call me again or come see me for real or in person. I love you and I miss you very much.

Mom,
I brought your scales home with me and the numbers keep going up. I need you here to keep me motivated. I keep tossing these 10lbs up and down like a yo-yo. I really need to get with the program and lose these last 40-50lbs once and for all. 
I got a lot of your clothes and of course your shoes since I can wear both. You always wore makeup, made sure your hair was nice and you dressed sporty and had your own style, the kind that I like. You were always so beautiful and people commented on that all the time. You seemed so young for your age. I was proud to have you as my Mom.
You know what I miss? I miss coming to your house and finding you sitting in your office aka bathroom doing your seek-and-find puzzles. The conversations we had with me sitting on the floor and you on the throne. I miss you Mom and I love you tons and tons.

Hi Mom,
I asked that you and Dad come visit me, either in person or in my dreams. I then had the most beautiful dreams last night. 
First I saw you at the side door getting ready to leave. You were all smiles, giggly, spry, no pain, carefree, beautiful and spunky. I told you to tell Robin about the house.
Secondly, there was a big sink hole in the front yard and Dad and I were filling it in. I dont remember us talking any but we sure were muddy.
Lastly, you and Dad were in the den. I looked at you both and my heart lit up like a christmas tree. I was touching Dads face and I remember asking you two if this was real or was I dreaming. I dont think I got an answer but it felt so real. The two of you were just talking like old times and Dad had the newspaper near him. You were at the end of the couch and Dad was in a recliner right next to you with his back facing the tv. The two of you looked so healthy, well and alive, nothing bad with you at all.
I love you guys and I miss you so much. Please keep coming to see me.

I love you, I miss you and I think about you all the time. I see you in my dreams and its so real. So hard to believe its been 2 months since you went up to heaven. I might just be lucky enough to have an apartment just outside the gates, lol.
Im here at Firestone getting the tires rotated and an oil change on your car. They just told me a break light was out and the inspection ran out in January. I dont know what I was thinking or where my mind has been, lol. Its not like I havent been driving the car a lot.
Well I gotta go for now. Tell that old man I need some winning numbers for the lottery or some luck at Bingo. I miss you like crazy Mom, the dogs do too. Sending you love, kisses and hugs from all of us.

Happy Anniversary Mom,
Wow its 69 years, so hard to believe. How are you? How are things up in Heaven? I sure do miss you. Trying to figure out where I go from here. Either San Fiego, Clearwater Beach or Charlotte. Dont know how long I have in your house but I figured aim going to start downsizing as soon as possible. Robin said it may be 3 years but I dont want to wait until the last minute. I want to leave here with no more than a Uhaul pulled behind me. Seems like yesterday I was arriving here with a Uhaul.
Well everything here is good. The dogs are doing well. Spunky acts like jes 2 years old. I dont bother giving them dog food anymore, I just give them chicken. Got your Air Fryer and Ive been been using that to cook the chicken and they really seem to enjoy it.
Well I gotta run for now. I have a Drs appointment this morning. Ive been having a lot of pain on my right side and been having anxiety a lot more lately. I fell like 2-3 Times this past month but didnt get seriously hurt.

OK mom, I dont know if a black cat ran in front of my car,  I walked under ladder or my luck just cant get any worse. Went to Valero to play 2549, your Anniversary and of course, a few numbers pertaining to you since it was your Birthday. Well 4529 came out and Im like ok thats $100 dollars since I only played 50 cents. Came home to check my tickets and apparently I played the numbers too late because the tickets are for tomorrows draw. So it is, what it is. Now has Dad talked to you to inform you that part of your parental duties up there in heaven is to talk to the Lottery and/or Bingo Gods. Ok so youre still learning the ropes so Ill give you a pass this time. Love you to pieces.

Youll never guess whats in my bed right now? Spunky Monkey, Nosey and my cats or at least 2 of them. Joe Joe the 3rd cat cant even be around my other 2 cats yet, however he seems more tolerant of the dogs.

Robin and I went to Bingo last night and won a whopping $10, but we had fun at least.
Even though I missed the 1211 Pick 4, I did hit the next draw or day 2749 for $200. The number came out as 2794, I just missed the exact which would have been $5000. So you need to nudge the old man and the 2 of you need to talk to the Lottery or Bingo Gods and seen me some winning numbers.
Well gotta go Mom. I love you and miss you and I know you love me too. Give Dad my love. Did you tell him about your reoccurring dream, him wanting a divorce and the $50,000 dollars, lol. Bye for now.

 Its just me, wanted to tell you hello and let you know how much I miss you and I love you so very much.
 Youre not gonna believe what happened today!!! Ive been playing 1211 on the pick four since youve been gone and I didnt play it today and it came out exact, I felt like crying.
 Robin and I went through a lot of your clothes today. Tamara, Jay Jay, Grady and Connor were there to help out. Of course, the kids only helped out a little. I kept quite a few, Robin took of you and the rest we donated it.
We all went out to eat at Romas when we were done. Our waitress recognized Grady, she used to take care of him when he was a baby.
Well Im gonna go mama I love you, I miss you, I think of you so much and its hard not having you here. Your babies are doing good.

Just thinking about you and Dad and missing you both, wishing you could still be here.
Robin and I went to DMV and got your car transferred to me. Took the dogs to my house and Spunky Monkey peed in my bed. I had just put clean sheets and my new heated mattress pad on the bed. Of course, the cover, sheets, heated mattress pad and my mattress protector had to be washed. P.S. I'm washing them at your house as I speak.
Anyway Robin is doing a great job as the executor and I'm sure she's making you and Dad proud. 
Well your babies are doing okay. Nosey keeps staring blankly in certain areas of the house, like the den, living room and bathroom. Speaking of which, when I'm in your office, I do "Find a Word Puzzles" in honor of your absence. I know your out of pain, breathing well and with the Old Man, but God knows, I would do anything to see you in your office doing your puzzles. So many times, I would come and catch you off guard and you would jump. Reminds me of what Dad would always say, "must be a guilty conscience." Anyway so many times I sat on the floor and you and I would talk at length .
Well Mom & Dad, I love you guys to pieces and miss you so much. I'll be waiting for your visits in my dreams. Oh by the way, I know it was you Mom making the curtains ripple and highlighting my feet with light in the very spot you died. I also know that Nosey see's you and that's why he stares in certain areas of the house. He will sat down and look at your chair when I'm not in it or stare in the computer room. I don't think Spunky see's you but I know they miss you. Don't worry I'll take good care of your babies. I'm going to take some of your pads so I can protect my bedding.

Hey Mom,
It's just me. Sitting here on your couch with Nosey in my lap and Spunky Monkey next to me in the pet bed that Robin bought them. They stay in their beds when I'm not here during the day but sleep with me at night in your bed. Guess you know that Tippie didn't make it and I'm sure she's up there with you and Dad as well as Whitey, Tiny, Pug, Smokey, klohe, Lucky, Lady, Barley and your 3 cats, I can only remember Blackie's name. I'm sure all of my fur babies are with you as well.
Maryanne and I had a good time on our road trip. Saw Tina and her Mom Maureen and then went to Florida and saw Ken, Ray, Alan and Susan. Also saw Ken's kids Josh and Maddie, her boyfriend Patrick, Logan and his girlfriend Kaitlin. Also Ken's new boyfriend Tim and his friend Jenn. I went swimming in ken's heated pool without my bathing suit.
Anyway not much going on here except the snow that fell last night. Only a few inches so hopefully it won't linger. I flooded the big bathroom. I had the water dripping to keep the pipes from freezing and the sink filled up and overflowed, good thing it wasn't the toilet, lol.
Well Mom I love you and I keep hoping to see you or hear from you. Im looking for signs that remind me of you. Hopefully I'll see you in my dreams.

It's so unreal that your gone, I just can't believe it. I love you and I miss you so much. I keep thinking I need to call you on the phone and then I realize I can't. I want you to know that I'm going to take real good care of your babies Spunky Monkey, Tippie and Nosey. I'm worried about Tippie, she seems to be taking your death pretty hard and not eating. I hoping that she'll do better with Mike feeding her over the next few weeks. They have been used to him being there with you and the dogs. He's covering for me while I'm on my trip to North Carolina and Florida with Maryanne. Don't worry about a thing Mom, I'm gonna take real good care of those dogs just like you did, you know I love them.
Well Mom I'm going to close for now. I'm sure you and Dad are having a blast up there with the whole gang up there. I love you to pieces Mom.

Mrs. Hodge was my bus driver during my senior year of high school; she treated all of us with disabilities as one of her own, and that I will always remember! Tamera, I'm sending up prayers for you and your family and know that VHS C/O 2008 is with you.

To the Hodge Family:

In 1980, Millie trained me to drive the school bus when I was 17 years old.  I remember what a good example that she set for the drivers.  She taught us that the kids, and their safety came first, and that we should always take pride in our jobs.  In over 30 years in the workforce, I have yet to meet anyone more committed to a profession than Millie.  I will never forget her, and my deepest sympathy goes to the family.

Robin - so sorry to hear of your mom's passing.  She was a real special lady.  She had to be to put up with us in our younger years.  If you need me I'm here for you.  Dana Bryant

Words cannot express the sorrow in my heart that I won't be able to see you again.  But strength is there because I will always have you in my heart and my memories of you will help ease the pain.  Love to Robin, Mike, Pattie, Dickie, David, Alan and all of the extended family.  Mildred Hodge always had room for "one more" in her home and in her heart.
