The family would like to extend their thanks and deep gratitude to all EMS, Fire, and police involved in helping our sweet girl. Also, to the Staff of MCV Emergency Department, Social Workers, Chaplins, and 9th-floor ICU nurses Tracey and Megan- you all will hold a special place in our hearts and will never be forgotten.
Natalie was born into this world in sunny Southern California at the Camp Pendleton Naval Hospital on October 21, 2004. When she entered this world a bell of celebration rang with an announcement of "Welcome to the Marine Corp Baby Girl McMullen". She was instantly loved beyond measure by her parents, grandparents, and uncles, as well as the 7th ESB platoon.
During her lifetime, she has always been known to be a beautiful little ray of sunshine with the right sparkle in our lives. From her intelligent conversations, funny quirks, and an overabundance of compassion for all things living!
She had a passion for traveling, nature, animals (especially chickens), and people. Her goal was to be a hospice nurse so she could give care and love to her patients just as other hospice nurses gave to her grandparents during their time of need. As she began her "big girl" job with the Brain Repair Store, those thoughts and goals shifted as she believed in changing your body and your brain from the inside out and wanted to pursue a career in the footsteps of her favorite doctor, Dr. Taylor.
Although her life was not nearly long enough, the impact on those she met is everlasting. To know her is to love her!
In place of flowers, the family would like to ask you to donate to Planting Peace https://www.plantingpeace.org/ in her memory. So that she may continue to help others while she has her wings in Heaven.
A celebration of life will be held at Nelson Funeral Home 4650 S Laburnum Ave. Richmond, VA 23231 Friday, January 12, 2024 at 3 pm. The family will also hold a light reception at Masonic Temple #14, 6787 Forest Hill Ave. Richmond, VA 23225.
