Pauline Ormand Myers

Myers, Pauline Luella Clark Ormand, slipped the bonds of earth into her Savior’s arms on Christmas Day, 2014. Born to Amos Lee and Lucinda Hilton Clark on Thanksgiving day, November 24, 1921, in Charles City County, VA, she was the widow of James Woodrow Ormand Sr., and Bruce Edward Myers Jr.

Others who went before her were her son, USAF MSgt. James W. Ormand Jr.; and her three sisters, Lily Wilkerson, Mary Clark and Chloe Crowder. Survivors include her children, Paul Lee Ormand (Susan), Joan O. Denton, Robert David Ormand; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Pauline retired from the Henrico County School System after serving over 20 years as a secretary at Varina H.S. and Highland Springs E.S.

The family is profoundly grateful to Lola Harvey, assisted by her daughter Alycia, who unselfishly and lovingly cared for Pauline, and made it possible for Pauline to live her final years in her own home. A visitation will be held Tuesday, December 30 from 6-8pm at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231. Funeral Services will be conducted Wedneday, December 31, 10:30am at Westover Episcopal Church, 6401 John Tyler Memorial Highway, Charles City, VA 23030.
