CHILDRESS, Phyllis Swann, 86, went home to be with the Lord on June 18, 2018. She is survived by her children, Lindsey Langston (Ronnie), Gena Brown (Sam), Ricky Childress, Rob Childress (Terri); grandchildren, Ronald (Frankie), Nicole, Kayla (Mark), Tyler and Angel; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Tanner, Charlotte and Jamison. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Puckcy; her three sisters and a brother. She was a long-time member of Black Creek Baptist Church. Phyllis was devotedly loved and will be remembered fondly for her homemade potato salad and chicken salad. She enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 24, 2018, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, Va. 23231. Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 25, 2018, at 12 p.m., at the funeral Home. Interment will be in Washington Memorial Park. Casual attire welcome.
