Bobby loved singing, bowling, fishing and being with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce A. Murphy; children, Kent Murphy, Linda Murphy, Robert Murphy Jr., Wanda Hinson of Tennessee, David Murphy and Johnny Murphy of Highland Springs; grandchild, Ashlee Hinson; great-grandchild, Haiden Hinson; and sister, Alice Atkins of Mechanicsville.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231, where a funeral service will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m.
Burial will take place at a later date in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
