.CARLTON, Roberta Ann “Peggy”, 93, of Varina, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2014. Peggy is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, T. Weldon Carlton; sons, Charles Morris of Wildwood, FL, Richard Carlton (Maria) of Tappahannock, VA; grandchildren, Britt Morris of Richmond, ME, Sarah Morris of Seattle, WA, Jenny Leigh Kemp of Orangeburg, SC, Kristin Garces of Miami, FL, Aaron Palbicke of Tappahannock, VA; great-grandchildren, Thomas Kemp, Caroline Kemp, Evelyn Garces; sister, Henderson Foster of Deerfield Beach, FL; and many other family members and friends. Peggy and her husband were the owners of Carlton’s County Store and she was a lifelong member of Four Mile Creek Baptist Church. She was one of the founding and charter members of the Varina Women’s Club since 1970; and a former member of the Powhatan Women’s Club. She also was a member of the Henrico Historical Society; but most of all Peggy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 7, 2014 from 4-8 pm at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Richmond, VA 23231. A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 11 am at Four Mile Creek Baptist Church, 2950 New Market Rd. Henrico, Va. 23231. A reception will follow at Four Mile Creek Baptist Church. Interment is Private. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to the Varina Women’s Club Scholarship fund, 7825 Curisdale Rd.
