BANDY, Roderick Adam, 47, of Sandston passed away Thursday, August 13, 2015. He was a member of Sandston Baptist Church and a former zookeeper with Kings Dominion Wild Animal Park, Montgomery Zoo, and Birmingham Zoo. Roderick was also an avid collector of rocks and anything strange or unusual. He also had a love for wood working, Jimmy Buffett, and animals of all sorts. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Bandy; parents, John and Jackie Bandy; siblings, Meloney Bulliner and James Bandy; nephew, Matthew Ashworth; nieces, Alexa and Avery Bandy; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Richmond SPCA. A private family gathering celebrating Roderick’s life will be held at a later date.
