Sandra Lea Russell, 56, of Henrico, passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2017. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Reidy Russell; and her mother, Flora Inez Russell. Sandra was a member of Corinth Methodist Church. Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Linda Strickler (Paul); brother, Thomas Russell (Marian Mackerer); nephews, Christopher Strickler, Michael Strickler and Daniel Russell; niece, Rebecca Russell; and two great-nephews. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the wonderful and caring staff at the Garber-Morris Home (Heart Havens) for caring for Sandra for the past several years. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, August 21, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 22, at Laurel Hill United Methodist Church, 1919 New Market Rd., Richmond, Va. 23231. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park.
