Shen Mei Reese, age 76, of Quinton, VA, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 31, 2021, in her home surrounded by her loving family and husband. Shen Mei was born in Chutung, Taiwan on May 23, 1945.
Shen Mei is preceded in death by her parents.
Shen Mei is survived by the love her life, her husband of 50 years, Paul Reese, and two daughters, Angie Walker (Mark Walker) of Roseland and Michelle Kim of Ashburn. Shen Mei is also survived by her four grandchildren, Daniel Lee Walker, Esther Faith Walker, Tyler Kim, and Alexa Kim and her two older sisters, one younger brother and one younger sister.
Shen Mei, or known to all as Eulan, dedicated her life to loving and caring for her family. She has also been a devoted member of the Highland Springs Church of the Nazarene since 1981. She taught Sunday School and was a Board member for many decades, helping to lead the church and guide others in the Word of the Lord.
Shen Mei lived her life for serving the Lord and spreading the gospel of the saving grace of Jesus Christ. She will be sorely missed by many friends and family.
A visitation for Shen Mei will be held Friday, November 5, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 South Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, VA 23231 where a funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel. An interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park, 6217 Memorial Drive, Sandston, VA 23150.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Shen Mei’s memory may be made to Highland Springs Church of the Nazarene, 6003 Hawkes Lane, Richmond, VA 23223.
