SULLIVAN, Shirley Burton, 81, of Sandston, Va., passed away on Friday, July 17, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Elizabeth Burton; and sister, Jean Pitts. She was a graduate of Goochland High School, Class of 1952. She was a member of Oakwood Memorial Baptist Church, where she supported church activities and missions. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Frank M. Sullivan; three children, Vicki S. Doustout (Kenneth), Michael W. Sullivan (Maryann) and Kimberly S. Beers (Keith); six grandchildren, Brian and Jason Doustout, Chris Sullivan, Shannon McLaughlin, Kyle and Kristin Beers; 11 great-grandchildren; and six brothers. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 21, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231, where services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2015. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park.
