He was an auto and truck mechanic who loved sitting under the pecan tree with friends and family.
He was predeceased by his parents, James and Mary Johns; sister, Christina Paxton; and brother, Edwin Johns.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Johns; brother, Robert Johns (Mary Jane); numerous nieces and nephews; special foster brother, John Abell; and dear friends, John and Jean Bugg.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231.
