

Theodore Claxton Crawley was born to the late, Percell and Marie Crawley, in Charles City, VA. on August 5, 1927. He went to be with the Lord, in the presence of his loving wife, on Monday, January 5, 2015 at the age of 87. Theodore is also preceded in death by his siblings, Anna Adkins and Samuel Crawley. Theodore was a dedicated truck driver for Great Coastal until his retirement. He was a member of St. James Baptist Church and a US Army veteran, of the Korean War. During Theodore’s retirement, he would enjoy fishing, cooking, was an avid gardener, and a member of the St. James Masonic Lodge 300. He leaves to cherish is memory his wife of 60 years, Ethel Yvonne Crawley; sister, Bernice Crawley; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Funeral services will be Monday, January 12, 2015, 11 am at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Richmond, VA 23231. Theodore will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 4000 Pilots Ln, Richmond, VA. The family would like to thank everyone who has reached out to them to express kind words, sent cards, and called to share their love and concern during their time of bereavement. It was greatly appreciated, and your kindness will not go unnoticed. The family has asked that no food be brought to Mrs. Crawley’s residence.
