She was preceded in death by her son, Jason Andrew Meade; father, Bert E. McLaughlin; husband, James Howard Smith III.
She was a member of Providence United Methodist Church and she loved travelling, especially to the Smoky Mountains and the Outer Banks.
Theresa is survived by her daughter, Elaina Felts (Dustin Felts); son, James Howard Smith IV (Destiny Smith); mother, Elsie McLaughlin; 2 brothers, Steven and Mark McLaughlin; significant other, Rich Smithdeal; and a large circle of extended family and friends.
