BROWNIE, Warren LaRue, 68, of Varina, passed away December 1, 2016. Warren was a Vietnam veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and was honored with two Purple Hearts. He was also a retired Jetway Technician. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernie Jack Brownie, Sr. and Norma Jean Brownie; and siblings, Ernie Jack Brownie, Jr., Richard Wayne Brownie, and Mariana Brownie Reed. He is survived by his wife, Diane Brownie; children, Wendall Troy Brownie, Traci Ann Brownie, Lisa Madden, Laurie Hamilton, and Christopher Beasley; seven grandchildren; brother, James A. Brownie; and a host of friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home in Richmond. A service at Quantico National Cemetery will be announced at a later date.
