

Rickman, Wayne, 56, of Mechanicsville, passed suddenly on Saturday, October 3, 2015. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edward W. Rickman Sr. and Beulah S. Rickman, Helen Little and Ernest Bear Sr. Wayne is survived by his wife of nearly 36 years, Wanda Rickman; children, Sarah Williams (Mitch) and Michael Rickman; parents, Buck and Carolyn Rickman; stepgrandson, Cody Williams; siblings, David (Sandra) and Chris (Donna) Rickman; in-laws, LeRoy and Verna Crowder; brothers-in-law, Neil (Yvonne) and Jamie (Teresa) Crowder; his faithful companions, Trigger, Bow, Raleigh; and a host of extended family and friends. Wayne was the owner of Rickman’s Auto Repair in Sandston for 30 years. He was a long-time drag racer with his ’67 Nova SS. Wayne enjoyed working on and restoring classic hot rods, collecting and restoring antique gas pumps and fishing with his friends and family. Wayne was proud of his confederate heritage and flew his confederate flag proudly. The family will receive friends at Nelsen Funeral Home Laburnum, Tuesday, October 6, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held 12 noon Wednesday, October 7, at Nelsen Funeral Home Laburnum.
