He is survived by his son, Billy Ball (Jamie); brother, Roy Ball (Carol); longtime friend, Rhonda Hill; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Bill grew up in West Virginia, but after serving in the US Army in the Korean War he settled down in the Prince George area of Virginia. Bill enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, and spending time with his dogs, Dexter and Missy.
The family will receive friends Friday, July 7, from 9 to 10 a.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231 where a chapel service will immediately follow at 10 a.m.
Private graveside burial for family immediately following service.
