

In loving memory of Barbara Ann Barton, of Auburn Hills, Michigan, who peacefully passed on January 29, 2024. Barbara's life was a testament to her boundless love for her family, her passion for teaching, her unwavering devotion to music, and her deep faith in the Lord. Born on October 21, 1949, to Leroy and Flora White in Dexter, Missouri, she now reunites with her beloved parents and cherished siblings Vernon, Earl, Bob, Geraldine, and Lindle in heaven.
For 45 years, Barbara poured her heart into shaping young minds at Auburn Hills Christian School, formerly Greater Life Academy/Apostolic Christian Academy. Her dedication to her students was unwavering, and the pride she felt when they returned to share their life's accomplishments was immeasurable. Mornings were marked by her love for donuts and coffee, a cherished ritual alongside teaching her students the beloved song "The Donut Shop".
Her 56-year union with her beloved husband, Larry Barton, was a testament to enduring love and partnership. Together, they nurtured a family that brought her immense pride and joy. Their annual trip to Mackinac Island was a cherished tradition, a celebration of their enduring love.
Barbara's love for music was a lifelong passion, beginning in her early teens, and she found solace in the choir. In moments of respite, she found joy in walks, cooking, and fishing, filling her life with the simple pleasures she adored.
Barbara leaves behind her devoted husband Larry; her loving sons Mark (Tina) Barton and Rob (Melissa) Barton; her adored grandchildren Taylor (Chantelle) Barton, Kylee Barton, Michaela (Travis) Bishop, and Kassidy Barton; and her cherished great-grandchildren Carter Barton and Madeline Bishop. She is also survived by her siblings Robert White, Bill White, Sue Robinette, and Joyce Jenkinson.
A visitation to honor Barbara's life will take place at The Apostolic Church of Auburn Hills on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, starting at 5:00 PM, with a funeral service following at 7:00 PM.
Barbara wished to be remembered as someone who poured her heart into everything she did, and whose love knew no bounds. Her legacy of love and dedication will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew her.
