Barbara Lucille Ritchey, age 89, of Rochester Hills, Michigan, passed away on October 4, 2018. Born in Grafton, West Virginia on May 7, 1929, graduated from Grafton High School, Barb worked for Westinghouse and earned the title Miss Westinghouse. She did modeling and was crowned Miss Fairmont competing to become the runner up for Miss West Virginia in 1947. Barb later married Gerald Edward Ritchey on November 12, 1947. Barb went on to work for Kresge Kmart Corporation Headquarters as head of the Suggestion Department and retired after 42 years working for the company. She was a member of both the Loyal Order of Moose and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Barb had a passion for her Savior Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father, her puppy dogs, her family and friends, golf, bowling, and the casino. Barb is survived by her loving children, Darlene Roth and Philip Ritchey and his wife, Sharon; her beloved grandchildren, Cassandra Richman, Holly Ritchey, David Watkins, and Laura Eggert; and her dear great grandchildren, Hayden, Liam, Connor, and Madison. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 20th, 2018 at the First Congregational Church, 1315 N. Pine St., Rochester. Memorial Gathering will be from 10:00 am until 10:45 am.
