Barbara was born the daughter of William and Leah (Common) Hall in Mt. Clemens, Michigan on March 13, 1929. Barbara grew up in Gross Pointe and graduated from Denby High School, class of 1946. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University. Barbara married Richard Terepin on April 12, 1952, at the Grosse Pointe Memorial Church. She and Richard raised their family in Warren. Barbara served as a schoolteacher for many years and volunteered with Meals on Wheels through Rochester OPC.
Barbara was a member of United Presbyterian Church of Warren and PI Beta Phi sorority at Michigan State. She loved golfing, traveling, and entertaining. She was an excellent hostess. Barbara was an exceptional seamstress, making drapes and clothing, and training her children to do so. In earlier years, she enjoyed camping with her family and lead the Campfire Girls troop.
Barbara is survived by her children Laura (Robert) Morrison and Amy (Steve) Osinski; grandchildren Forest, Daniel (Katelyn Quenneville), and Krysten (Jose) Monzon; great grandchildren Mika, Lyla, Mara, and Liam; nieces Deb Button, Kathy (Rick) Beauregard, and Karen (Pete) Walenta; and brother-in-law Don Button. Barbara was predeceased by her husband Richard Terepin; parents, and sister Nancy Button.
Barbara’s family will welcome everyone to a visitation on Sunday April 10, 2022, from 2pm - 8pm at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 322 West University Drive in downtown Rochester, Michigan. A funeral service will be held on Monday April 11, 2022, at 11am (instate 10am) at St. Pauls United Methodist Church, located at 620 Romeo Road in Rochester, Michigan.
