Barbara Ann Tyrell

Barbara Ann Tyrell, age 82, a lifelong Rochester area resident, passed away at her home in Rochester, Michigan with her family at her side on April 27, 2023. Barbara was born on April 6, 1941 in Gaylord, Michigan, the daughter of Arthur and Eunice (Hoogerhyde) Watson. She married her beloved husband Robert D. Tyrell on February 11, 1967. Barbara was a graduate of Rochester Senior High School before going on to work as a bookkeeper for both Rochester Paper Mill, Detroit Broach, and Holden Landscaping. Her love of her life was her family, she adored and loved to spend time with her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her dogs.

Barbara is survived by her husband Robert; children Brian (Kelly ) Tyrell and Robert Tyrell Jr.; grandchildren Mike (Laura) Tyrell, Matt (Erin) Tyrell, Adam Tyrell, Lauren Tyrell, and Austin Tyrell; great-grandchildren Blake, Wyatt, Carter, Olive and Veda; brothers Robert Watson and Larry Watson, and brother-in-law Richard Tyrell and sister-in-law Shirley Tyrell. She was predeceased by her brother Richard Watson and sister Betty (Watson) Hagen. Sister-in Law Marsha Watson, June Watson and Elaine Watson, and brother-in-law Charles Tyrell.

Visitation will be held at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr. in Rochester on Thursday May 4th from 2:00-7:00 p.m. and Friday May 5th from 12:00-1:00 p.m. with a 1:00 service also at Pixley Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Mount Avon Cemetery in Rochester, Michigan. Donations in lieu of flowers to the Michigan Humane Society would be appreciated.
