Bette Helen Hare

Bette was born in Melvindale, Michigan on July 31,1927 to Suzanne and Daniel Toth. Bette married Paul E Hare on August 11,1951 in Dearborn, Michigan. They moved to Rochester Hills in 1968 where they raised their children. Bette was a bus driver for the Rochester Public Schools for 20 years. She was loved by children of all grades for her kindness and humor.

Bette's first love was her family, followed by gardening, reading, animals and sewing. She also enjoyed international travel with Paul to destinations such as Europe, Egypt and China.

Bette is preceded in death by her husband Paul (2009) and her brothers Julius and Charles Toth.

Bette is survived by her children Ross (Jayne) Hare, Paula (David) Darin, Michelle (Ray) Hamp, Patti (Jan) Blakely, Matthew (Michelle) Hare; grandchildren Nicole (Keays) Bass, Brian Hare, Britany (Ricky) Birch; and great-grandchildren Emma and Liam Bass.

Services for Bette will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Michigan or the Michigan Humane Society.
