

Brad was born on December 30, 1993 in Clinton Township, MI. He graduated from Romeo High School in 2012 and joined the Operators Union as a heavy equipment operator. He joined the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department in 2015, serving in the jail before transferring to Road Patrol. He was first stationed in the Orion Substation then assigned to the Rochester Hills Substation. Later, he was promoted to the Detective Bureau and then transferred to the Auto Theft Unit – North End. Brad was a proud member of the Sheriff’s Department Motor Unit, where he earned numerous awards. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed spending time with his family, and was a loving husband and father - he adored his daughters and will be greatly missed.
Brad is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Jacqueline, his daughters, Alayna, Isabella, and Scarlett, parents, Andrew and Tammy Reckling, brother, Andrew Reckling, Jr. Brad is also survived by father-in-law, David Szydlowski, mother-in-law, Josie Young, sister-in-law, Christina Szydlowski, and brothers-in-law, Michael and Joe Szydlowski.
A Celebration of Brad’s life will be held Friday, 3:00 pm., June 28, 2024 at the Apostolic Church of Auburn Hills, 3655 N. Squirrel Rd, Auburn Hills, MI. A public visitation will be from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the church. The services will conclude at the church.
