

With a heart filled with music, Carolyn Dinser passed away peacefully on February 1, 2025 in Bloomfield Hills, MI. She was born on July 21, 1932 in Detroit, Michigan to Alfred and Florence Germain, the fifth of nine children.
She was married to Norman Dinser for 61 years and he preceded her in death. She was a devoted mother to Norm (Sherry), Greg (Diana), Gayle (Tom), the late Alan, and Caroline Dinser. She was a loving grandmother to Christopher Dinser, Scott Dinser (Justine), Kelly Sitko (Aaron), Jillian Mossner (Adam), Michelle Worthington (Ryan), and great-grandmother to Easton Mossner, Caden Sitko, and Troy Dinser. She will be remembered by her many nieces and nephews as a fun-loving aunt and the animated co-founder/director of Granny Camp, an annual gathering of cousins on the shores of Big Twin Lake.
She lived life to the fullest and never worried about the time of day. Carolyn loved music and performed for many decades with The Farmington Musicale and the DTE Singers at venues around SE Michigan. She toured with The Madrigal Chorale in Europe and even performed at the White House as part of its holiday festivities. She also sang at Carnegie Hall in New York and was active with the Berkley Area Productions.
Carolyn will be remembered for her ready laugh and her willingness to try anything and everything. A celebration of her life is scheduled for Friday, February 28 at Orchard United Methodist Church, 30450 Farmington Rd, Farmington Hills at 11:00am. Visitation will begin at 10:30am. Donations would be greatly accepted to the DTE Singers and the Michigan Humane Society.
