Curtis was born to Wendell and Delta Kelly, on October 3, 1938, in Pontiac, Michigan. Curtis spent her childhood in the Rochester, Michigan area. After attending Oakland University she moved to NYC and began her extensive and successful career as an editor in the publishing industry working for many different publications including Readers Digest, and The National Inquirer.
After her career in publishing, Curtis developed a passion for art. She was a talented painter and had a strong love of the arts. Curtis also loved to play tennis.
Curtis was married to the love of her life, Bernard Gudobba.
Curtis is survived by her loving husband Bernie, her stepchildren: Mike (Cindy) Katz and Mark (Laurie) Katz, her sister Elizabeth (Michael) Stone, and many step grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
