ARNETT, Elmer S., of Rochester Hills, originally of Avery County, NC, passed away peacefully at his home on December 17, 2011 at the age of 94. He is survived by Maggie, his beloved wife of 72 years. Loving father of Dayton (Cecilia) Arnett, Dora (Ronald) Rolando and the late Edward (Marilyn) Arnett. Cherished grandfather of Dawn Glanville, Sloan Rolando, Tiandra DeSantis, Lara Arnett and Dayton Christopher Arnett. Also surviving are his seven great-grandchildren, members of Maggie’s family and numerous nephews, nieces and friends. Elmer was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a member of the American Legion Post #143 for over 55 years and retired from Chrysler Corp. in 1975 after working at its Dodge Main plant in Detroit for 25 years.
