Erik had an unmatched passion for fixing old cars, finding beauty in the art of restoration. His love for motorsports was evident through his devotion to MotoGP racing, and he was a long-time enthusiast of ice hockey, always enjoying the thrill and camaraderie the sport brought. Erik was a man who lived life fully, always eager to take on new challenges, no matter the obstacle.
One of Erik’s most beloved traits was his sense of humor. He never took life too seriously, always ready with a witty remark or a playful joke to lighten the mood. His clowning spirit brought laughter and joy to all who knew him. He had a unique ability to make others smile, even in difficult times, and his humor will be deeply missed.
In addition to his hobbies and humor, Erik found great joy in helping others. His wisdom and compassionate nature made him a trusted confidant to many, and he was always ready to lend an ear or offer counsel to those in need. His family was at the center of his life, and he adored his niece (Sutton) and nephews (Cooper, Miles, and Parker), cherishing every moment spent with them.
Erik is survived by his loving mother, Gaile Priest; his brother, Zachary Priest (Jamie); and his sister, Stacey Priest (John Taylor). He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate to know him.
