Geraldine Lothery, 79, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Beaumont Hospital in Troy following a prolonged illness. Gerri was born and raised in Rochester and was a graduate of RHS, class of 1957.
While attending RHS and after graduation; she was a member of the Melodies, a singing quintet. Members included her lifelong friends; Doris (Hawkins) Monette, Sharon (Hubner) Fifield, Geraldine (Fersenko) Henning (d.)
and Shirley (Kerchner) Levely. Gerri worked for GM Truck and coach in Pontiac for 32 years. She demonstrated her personal strength even until the end. Through her adult life she was surrounded by wonderful loyal friends. Gerri is survived by her son; Kevin, brother; Gene, nieces; Michelle Porchia, Karlyn Kieffer, Traci Lothery, nephews; Brennan Lothery, Clayton Lothery, Rikki Lothery and grandniece; Madison Lothery. She was preceded in death to glory by her parents; William and Burrie Lee; sister; Dorothy and brothers; William Jr., Don and Keith.
We are thankful for the wonderful care and attention Gerri received at Beaumont Hospital as well as the compassion and dedication of the staff at Pixley Funeral Home, with whom we have entrusted our loved one.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 18, 2019 from 4-8PM at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Drive, Rochester, MI 48307. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at First Congregational Church, 1315 N. Pine St., Rochester Hills, MI 48307 at 11AM preceded by a visitation at 10:30AM. Gerri will be immediately interred at Mount Avon Cemetery in Rochester following the service.
