Glenn was born in Michigan and was the beloved son of Frank and Patricia Insana. A proud graduate of Notre Dame High School, he went on to earn his associate’s degree and build a distinguished career. He began at Kmart, rising to Vice President of Design and Construction, and later brought his expertise to GGP and other firms before retiring.
Glenn married the love of his life, Patricia “Trish” Dunsmore, in a heartfelt ceremony at St. Louis Catholic Church in Clinton Township. He remained a devoted member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Rochester throughout his life.
An avid golfer, Glenn organized and led golf leagues for many years, sharpening his game while enjoying time outdoors. His greatest joy, however, came from playing alongside his sons, friendly competition that forged unbreakable, lifelong memories.
Family was the center of Glenn’s world. He cherished time at the cabin up north, boating, fishing, and simply relaxing. He was always eager to lend a hand with his sons’ home projects, sharing stories, guidance, and wisdom along the way. Glenn was also blessed with nine grandchildren, and he treasured every moment spent with them, watching their games, cheering them on, and delighting in the joy of seeing them grow.
He will be remembered for his faith in God, kindness, his patience, and the love he poured into every part of his life, especially into the family he cherished. Glenn’s devotion to Trish was unwavering, a partnership marked by deep respect, shared laughter, and a lifetime of steadfast companionship. To his sons, he was a source of guidance, encouragement, and pride, a constant presence whose love shaped their lives in lasting ways.
Glenn is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Trish Insana; father, Frank Insana; mother in law, Patricia Dunsmore; children Nick (Elizabeth), Erik (Johnna), Clifford (Brooke), and Joey (Jemellah) Insana; grandchildren Evan, Malin, Dylann, Ethan, Landon, Hunter, Harper, Eve, and Cole Insana; siblings Michael (Debbie) Insana, Gary (Bonnie) Insana, Jeff Insana, Kathy (Jeff) Ruggles, Cindy Ellero, and David (Bridget) Insana. He was predeceased by his mother, Patricia Insana, and father in law, Leo Dunsmore.
A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2026, from 1–5 p.m., with a scripture service at 4 p.m. and sharing of memories at 4:30 p.m., at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 West University Drive in downtown Rochester, Michigan. A Funeral Mass will follow on Monday, February 16, 2026, at 11 a.m. (gathering at 10:30 a.m.) at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1400 Englewood Avenue in Rochester, Michigan.
His love, his laughter, and his steady presence will live on in the hearts of his family forever.
