He peacefully departed from his home in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan on the 26th of October 2025.
Ravi was born in Jaffna, Sri Lanka on December 15, 1955. He lived a life filled with energy, care and compassion. He enjoyed walking, dancing and playing tennis, always finding joy in staying active and connected to others.
His love of gardening and attention to his lawn reflected the pride he took in nurturing both his home and the people around him.
Ravi's hospitality showed in every aspect of how he cared for others. Whether hosting gatherings or cooking for family and friends, he made everyone feel welcome and appreciated. His generous spirit and joyful presence left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Ravi will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his warmth, laughter and the love he gave so freely.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Shanthi Benjamin, and his children: son Dilo Benjamin and his wife Joanna Benjamin, daughter Diluckshi Benjamin and her husband Steve Grzebyk, daughter Sonali Benjamin and her husband Sunny Yerrathota, and son Kishan Benjamin. Herman also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Aravindh Grzebyk and Aadhini Grzebyk.
A visitation will be held at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 322 West University Drive, Rochester, MI 48307, on November 1, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. A memory share will follow the visitation, starting at 12:00 pm.
