To this day, despite not having been connected to Marty in over 30 years, I still think about him and our days during high school and college.Marty was a real character and a real go getter. With the loss of my  brother, Brian and my daughter, Mary Kate, I see Marty as family as well despite the absences. May God Bless the Brennan  family through these tough times of grief and sorrow. Through Jesus Christ in the reign of the Holy Spirit, may Marty enlighten himself in the peace and joy of God, our heavenly Father for all eternity.

How does one adequately memorialize so fine a man as Marty...I worked with him on many cases...referred many people to him as well over the years, and always had complete faith that he would be a true advocate and caring attorney. Marty was a kind and caring friend and a gentleman. Contact with him might be intermittent, but as sweet as if you'd seen him yesterday. He's a person never to be forgotten, and forever to be missed. Over the past ten years, Marty and I talked now and then. He called me when he was going to run for City Council....In the many years that I knew him, Marty was always a friend...he would call when others did not, he would lift my spirits and I tried to lift his.  He was a good man. Though we had not spoken recently, I did think of him and will always remember his kindness.  It is a lesson to all of us not  to lose the chance to actually make good on "let's get together soon"....soon may never come again. God Bless You .

Marty was a great friend for 26 years, an excellent attorney and always made us laugh. He was a man's man...loved his cigars, a good steak, sports and just sitting around talking about the world and his family. He loved Leta and the kids so much. Marty tried to be involved in the community in every way possible and he taught me something I'll never forget: Always be tenacious but have gratitude. Serving people is an honor. He did it with more tenacity & love for the community spirit than anyone. We will all miss you very much buddy!

I have fond memories of Marty, his siblings, my siblings and the chaos and fun the 12 of us had as kids on Lake Huron where our families vacationed. Later on we touched base at the University of Michigan which we both attended. It was thirty more years until I saw Marty again, when he so thoughtfully attended our mother's funeral. It was wonderful to see him. It was startling to hear that Marty had passed on. He has left a body of work and tributes that are impressive. My heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Marty Brennan and Sam Kilberg...they were a pair...I don't know who admired the other more..He convinced Sam he was meant to study law..supported him in all his endeavors...Sam adored him...I remember sitting at Mock Trial dinner and Marty telling me Sam was going to make a difference and he couldn't wait to see where he went and what he did...I'm holding you to thaT Marty...Sam's heart broke a little today..I haven't heard him cry in maybe 10 years....you left an amazing legacy...Trip Caitlyn and your buddy Sam..keep watching..you have a much better seat now..God bless all the Brennans..you are in our heart and prayers..
