

Janice was born to Frank and Alice Guthrie in Detroit, Michigan, on January 31, 1926. Janice lived in Rochester her whole life, graduating from Rochester High School in 1942. After graduating, Janice went to work at St. Joes, in Pontiac, before beginning her work on the Frank farm, which would become a centennial farm, and celebrated its 200 year anniversary last July.
Janice met the love of her life Ray Frank, and the two were married on August 10, 1945, the two had three children: Leslie, Loren, and Daniel. Janice and Ray spent 66 wonderful years together, before his passing in 2011.
Janice was known for the strawberries and raspberries that she grew, as well as her love of music. She was a long time parishioner at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, and sang in the choir for 45 years with her husband right by her side. She and her family were also apart of the Tuesday Musical Group, and would provide musical entertainment for nursing homes in the Rochester Area.
Janice is survived by her daughter Leslie Cone, and son Daniel (Nancy) Frank, as well as her grandchildren: Shelley (Jason) Dimmer, Ryan Frank, Kevin Frank, Lucy (Greg) Thompson, Kurt Frank, and Jennifer (Chris) Castillo. She is also survived by her great grandchildren : Issac, Sarah, Olivia, Mabel, Heather, Connor, Kyle, Kyra, Jace, and Chris.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Ray Frank, son Loren Frank, son in law James Cone, grandson Scott Cone, and granddaughter in law Brandy Cone.
A memorial visitation will be held at Pixley Funeral Home in Rochester, Michigan, on Friday May 23, 2025, from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM. A memorial service will be held at St. Paul's United Methodist Church on Saturday May 24, 2025, at 11:00 AM, with the family accepting guests at 10:00 AM.
