June Evelyn Maxwell

June Evelyn Maxwell, of Rochester, MI, passed away on November 6, 2024 at the age of 86. June was a true native of Rochester, having been born in town on June 3, 1938. She was an excellent student, graduating Valedictorian from Rochester High School. She married her beloved husband Donald Earl Maxwell on June 28, 1958 and they had many years of companionship until his passing on January 16, 2022.

June had a career in banking as a teller for NBD Bank. Showing her commitment to her community, June was a proud member of Rochester Rotary Club. She enjoyed spending time with family and going up north to her cottage. While at her cottage, she enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren play at the lake, riding her dune buggy and snowmobile. When she had a quiet moment she enjoyed reading, walking at the OPC, and monthly lunches with friends from high school.

She is survived by sons Ronald Maxwell and William Maxwell; grandchildren Alicia (Ryan) Stewart, Joshua Miller, and Amber (Wesley) Kandt; great grandchildren Alexandria, KJ, Kayleigh, Alexis, and Carson; and sister Donna Byers.

She rejoins in heaven her husband Donald and her siblings Donald Shaw, Phyllis Holland, and Marie Shaw.

A visitation for June will be held Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr., Rochester, Michigan 48307, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM.
