Mary was born the daughter of Joseph and Katherine (Vukusich) Stancec on November 6, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan. She was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother to five and great-grandmother to five. She was married four times and raised four daughters (Susan, Marlene, Darlene, and Kathy) and made sure they all had what they needed with plenty of love. She made many sacrifices for her daughters and raised them to be strong independent thinkers and loving mothers as well. Her strong will, perseverance and positive spirit was an inspiration to all.
Mary loved socializing with people and could talk to anyone. Her kindness and generosity was appreciated by everyone who knew her. Her friendship was valued by many. Mary was very charitable and gave so much to others. She loved her family, cooking, making desserts, interior design, playing cards, and bowling. She bowled until she was 95 and maintained a 135 average. She always loved her dogs and cats and taught us to love and respect all animals as well. Her life philosophy was “You cannot do a kindness too soon because you never know how soon it will be too late”.
Mary was survived by her daughters Darlene (Coy) Bailey and Kathy (Ron) Raymond; grandchildren Dawn (Nic) Kelly, Charles (Tina Corbin) Richard, Terry Richard, Brent (Tara) Raymond, and Derek (Natalie) Raymond; and great grandchildren Kamryn Kelly, Morgan Raymond, Macy Raymond, Ethan Raymond, and Avery Raymond. Mary was predeceased by her husband Charles Geraci; daughters Marlene Sovina and Susan Richard; and her parents.
