Nancy was born the daughter of John and Mary (Dalton) Williams in Detroit, Michigan on May 13, 1941. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Detroit, class of 1959. Nancy earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Wayne State University. She married Ronald Daar on September 15, 1962 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Detroit. Nancy served as a medical nurse for 42 years. She was a member of the Providence Nursing Association, the Meadowbrook Garden Club, and St. Andrew Catholic Church. Nancy also served at the Neighborhood House Food Pantry.
Nancy lived out her servant heart. She was selfless and loving, with an incredible appetite to learn and experience new things. She was very social and loved to travel the world. Her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the joy and love of her life.
Nancy is survived by her husband Ron of 62 years; children Michael (Gwen) Daar, Leslie (Jim) Dearbaugh, and Mary (Steve Stroud) Daar; grandchildren Ryan (Sabrina) Daar, Alex Daar, Tyler Daar, Lily Dearbaugh and Sophie Dearbaugh; great-grandchildren Elle, Emmett, and Eva; and many nieces and nephews. Nancy was predeceased by her parents; and siblings Jim Williams, Sharon Rutten, and Jack Williams.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday November 16, 2024 from 9:30am until the funeral mass at 10am at St. Andrew Catholic Church, located at 1400 Inglewood Ave, in Rochester, Michigan. Interment will be at Guardian Angel Cemetery in Oakland Township at a later date.
