Nancy Sue Thomas

THOMAS, Nancy Sue, age 76, of Rochester Hills, died October 6, 2018. Nancy was born on June 8, 1942 in Rochester, daughter of the late Christopher and Helen Kitchen. She was a graduate of Rochester High School and was a 36 year employee of Crittenton Hospital where she worked as a Surgical Scheduler. Nancy was then placed in charge of Operating Room Purchasing before retiring in 2001. She was an avid reader and enjoyed puzzles and playing the slot machines, but she most enjoyed spending time with her family and crocheting blankets for the grandkids. In 2017, Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved husband George. She is survived by her children George (Lori) Thomas, Norman (Tracy) Thomas, Kristy (John) Trouba, Tim Thomas, Shawn (Jamie) Thomas; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; Brothers Larry Kitchen and Jerry (Pinky) Kitchen. She was also preceded in death by brother and sister-in-law Jack and Betty Kitchen. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Drive in Rochester. Pastor Chris Cook officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 1 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Michigan.
