Nee was always in our lives growing up either us going to her house or cottage or the Dawson's coming to our house!  Even as an adult, when mom lived with us we had the pleasure of Nee coming to visit and my kids got to know her very well too.  I know she las left a huge void in your lives just like my mom did in mine,  but she has filled a large one in my mom's! I know Mom, Boo and Nee are now catching up!!!

To my first and most trusted friend. Words cannot express the depth of loss I feel at your parting. My only solace is knowing that you will continue to be with me in spirit  and that one day we will be together again-most likely eating frozen milky ways and watching old Robert Redford movies.

A  great Family has lost a great woman. May she rest in peace and may your family find the strength to celebrate her life.

Just thinking about Mom, Nee and Aileen playing cards now (maybe with Gramps...not sure how that will play out) but we know one of the "snoop sisters" will try to cheat first!  I know you all have a large hole in your heart right now but thankfully, you have great memories to last the rest of your life!

I just know Mom welcomed her with open arms and now she, Nee and Aileen are playing cards and laughing up a storm!  Wonder who will cheat the most before getting caught!!!  (Gramps is probably in on those card games, too) Debbie said it best when she called them the "snoop sisters".....wonder what they will explore now!  Just know the hole you have in your heart now will heal but the memories of your mother/grandmother will live on in your hearts forever!  Love, Pat

You spoke to me often about your grandmother, and it was always clear that you cared deeply for her.  She sounds like a remarkable woman.  You're fortunate to have had the opportunity to spend so much time with your grandmother while growing up. That's something all too rare in our world today.  I hope you will hold on tightly to memories of your grandmother and that they will help you through this difficult time.

If ever there was a time I was at a loss for words it would be now.  Your impact on my twenty-six short years was immeasurable. You were a proud matriarch who instilled in me the value of family and what it means to love unconditionally.  I may not always be the best at showing these virtues in practice, but none the less you gave them to me and I will never forget them; I will hold them true and pass them on to the next generation.

Even now as I sit here watching Wheel of Fortune, I cannot believe I will never see you again.  My heart is full of sadness and I feel as though I have a wound that will never heal.  But the sorrow will fade with time and the wound will heal leaving me stronger than I was before, because the quick are here for us to learn from and the dead ensure these lessons are not forgotten.

If I were to sit down and write all of the memories I have with Grandma I might as well write a novel. We were blessed to have such a kind, caring, funny, crazy women in our lives. The best part of living with Grandma was that I could actually "run away to Grandma's" (a kids favorite saying) although just walking through two doors took away the rush of defiance. I'll never forget her smile, laugh, wit or how she called me her baby doll, most importantly I'll cherish the little things like watching Judge Judy and drinking the famous Vernors floats. Miss you, love you always.

Grandma, I am proud to have you in my life. you showed each and everyone of us how to live life, and that was to the fullest! you taught me how to grow and be a strong and classy young lady. you fought hard to the end.. you are much loved and missed.. love you with all my heartlove always, Natalie:)
