Patricia Anne Raymond (nee: Reffner) passed into eternity on July 23, 2021, at the age of 96, following a long, productive and fruitful life. Patricia was born in Detroit on July 7, 1925. From 1969 to 2018, Patricia was a resident of Rochester Hills, Michigan and she often served as an election poll volunteer for the community. She moved to Shorehaven in Sterling Heights in early 2018.
Patricia is pre-deceased by her parents, Edwin and Evelyn (nee: Kelly) Reffner, and her brothers, Edwin Jr. and Dean.
She is survived by her four children: James (Florence), Michael (Paula), Mark (Tricia) and Brian (Sandy) Raymond, three grandchildren: Nicholas, Cody and James Raymond, and four great-grandchildren: Zayden, Emersyn, Ayvin and Brantly Raymond.
Patricia was a Licensed Practical Nurse for Pontiac General Hospital, earning her degree in 1984 at the age of 59. She retired from Pontiac General in 2005 at the age of 80, then immediately set to work for Oakland Livingston Human Services Agency, conducting guardianship interviews for patients with closed-head injuries. She conducted this work until approximately 2010. Following her 1943 graduation from Immaculata High School, she also worked as a teletype operator for United States Steel for many years, and then took a 20-year "break" from corporate work to raise her family.
Services in honor of Patricia will be held at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W University Dr, Rochester, MI 48307 at 7:00 pm on Thursday, July 29, 2021. Officiating will be Rev. Randy Vinson of Bridge Community Church, Troy, Michigan. Patricia's family will receive friends and extended family at the funeral home earlier that day, from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm
A private, family graveside committal will occur at St. Joseph Cemetery in Dexter, Michigan on Friday, July 30, 2021.
