Reginald "Reg" Leaman Stevenson

Reginald Leaman Stevenson, age 77, of Oakland Township, passed away on Friday, August 31, 2018. Reg fought a courageous 5 month battle with cancer and is now at peace. He leaves behind his bride, Mary Anne; his children Penni Stevenson-Lopez, Larry (Kerry) Stevenson and Lara (Thomas) Murphy; step-sons Colin and Michael Bennett; grandchildren Jason Stevenson, Jenni (Tom) Lecesse, Dan and Ryan Lopez, Lauren Joplin, Layton and Braxton Murphy. Also, survived by his siblings Betty (Wayne) Zahara, Darlene (Kevin McNeil) Cleveland and Neil (Wanda) Stevenson and dear nieces and nephews.

Reg was born the son of Leaman and Marjorie (Greenwood) Stevenson in Hamilton, Ontario Canada on March 18, 1941. Reg came to the United States to attend Wayne State University, worked in Detroit’s automotive industry retiring from General Motors as a Computer Systems Regional Director. Reg married Carole Kurz on November 17, 1978 until her death in 2007. Reg was a dedicated volunteer at the Older Persons' Commission, delivering Meals on Wheels. He enjoyed working in his yard, Friday night pizza and playing golf with his neighbors and Canadian golf buddies.

Reg’s family will receive guests for a visitation on Friday, September 7th, 2018 from 3 - 8 pm at Pixley Funeral Home located at 322 W. University Drive in downtown Rochester.

Memorial contributions in Reg’s honor may be made to the Meals on Wheels Program at OPC by envelope at Pixley Funeral Home.
