Colleen and family, our sincere condolences for you, Bob had a rough road this last year,  as you all have. He was a kind gentle soul, he will be missed. 

I worked with Bob wayyy back when we were  "data processing".   I have a great memory - Cam Adams from Payroll asked if I could shred a box of old payroll checks that was found in a cabinet.  As I stood at our shredder I happened to stop and looked down at the check in my hand - the name on it was Bob's!!  Not only that - it was his very first paycheck from Crittenton.
I put it in a fancy display and handed it to him as he sat in his office.  "Thought you might be interested in this..."  I'll never forget the look of delight and dismay when he realized that it was his first check...

Bob was my cousin who was a few months older than me.  The only Burkett cousin who has been a part of my life since I was born.  Every summer the Dinges family came to Virginia for 2 weeks in August.  It was the highlight of my summer.  When I think of Bob I think of his wonderful smile and his great sense of humor.  I have so many memories that I will keep in my heart forever.    Sending much love and big hugs to everyone in the family.

I’m so glad you lived a long and happy life! I’m so grateful that you were there to change my diapers, stay up with me at night when I was scared, teach me the secret of magic (yes, I took the oath), make me laugh when I cried, help me with my homework, see me graduate from high school and college, meet your loving son-in-law, walk me down the aisle, and meet your amazing grandchildren. You and mom taught me all I know and I am so thankful for the two of you! All these memories fill me with such joy and I think to myself, what a wonderful world...

We have such wonderful memories of Bob that will sustain us as we grieve his passing.  What fun we had all those years at the beach during our family gatherings.  The highlights were the magic shows and the tricks we loved to play on each other.  Of course, Bob was always in the thick of things (probably one of the main instigators!).   His wit and sense of humor knew no bounds!  Unfortunately because we live in Virginia and his family in Michigan we didn’t see each other enough.  I was blessed to call him “Cuz”.  Our thoughts and prayers go to Coleen and all the family.  He was one of a kind and will be missed.  Godspeed Bob♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Bob was the best father-in-law I could have ever asked for. I'm not sure I can post just one memory, as I have so many to choose from. He was an intimidating figure when I first met him, but once I got to know him I saw an incredibly warm and kind person who put family above all else. I'm going to miss him dearly, and I know his grandkids feel the same way. Love you, Bobby.

Sorry for the loss of our dear friend  Bob.  There are so many nice things about him and was very interesting to talk to. He was a soft spoken man who loved coleen.  He would praise her often and how she was there for him. His children and grandchildren were the love of his life. He was proud of all their accomplishments.  I cut Bob's hair for many years. Always got a big hug and kiss from him. I could go on with more stories but we will always keep his memory alive in our hearts. Rest in peace our dear friend, until we meet again. My heart goes out to Bob’s family, especially Coleen and his children. Bob, Brad, Mary, Richard and I grew up as family. We share precious memories that will last forever. Bob is now at rest with his Heavenly Father. We will all be together again when we make that journey from here to Heaven. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
