Robert Frederick Knuth

Robert Frederick Knuth, age 86, of Rochester Hills, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. Robert attended several schools during his education but was a proud graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Saginaw, MI. He began his career with Equitable Maintenance, a now closed contract cleaning company in Detroit, where he worked as their Operations Manager. After leaving that position, Robert took a position managing a Telapac Plastics factory. Outside of his work, Robert took advantage of every free moment. He belonged to the Rochester Eagles, VFW Auxiliary, the American Legion, and the Veterans Club Of America in Florida. Robert also belonged to the Moose Club where he was well known by the name Florida Bob and his karaoke skills. He was adventurous, traveling and cruising with his husband through the years. The two of them would go out dancing and take to the stage for karaoke. When back at home, he unwound by cooking a delicious meal and enjoying some time sitting on their porch just enjoying the sun. His home always had a poodle, who he would adore, but his husband would do a bit more of the maintenance for. He was also a skilled cross-stitcher, creating large portraits with only a needle and a thread.

Robert is survived by his husband Ronald Roguz; children Theresa (Larry) Thiel, David Knuth, Deidre (Bennett Randall) Banks; grandchildren Amber Anderson, Travis Banks, Meghan Thiel, Molly Thiel, Aaron Banks, Austin Banks, Alexander Knuth, and Nicholas Knuth; 17 great grandchildren; and his siblings Sandra McMahon, Michelle Abels, Penelope (Mike) Luke, Michael Knuth, and Rebecca Howard.

He is preceded in death by his sisters Donna Martin and Judith Childs.

A visitation for Robert will be held Wednesday, February 12, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr., Rochester, Michigan 48307. His funeral service will take place on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at 12:30 PM at Christian Memorial Gardens West, 521 E Hamlin Rd, Rochester Hills, Michigan 48307. Family and friends are invited to meet at the front gate of the cemetery beginning at 12:15 PM.
