LANG, Robert P., age 83, of Rochester Hills, MI, February 8, 2010; husband of Joan Bales Lang; father of Robert (Iryna) Lang Jr., Keith (Ala) Lang, Michelle Cichocki, Eric (Shannon) Lang, Jeffrey Lang, Alyce (Dean) Osterland and Patrice (Curtis) Dombrowski; also survived by 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; brother of William (Mary Annette) Lang and the late B.J. Fischer. Robert was a U.S. Marine veteran of WWII and the Korean War; the Battle of Iwo Jima Purple Heart Recipient; he retired in 1975 from the Detroit Police Department with 27 years of service with 19 of those years in the Motor Traffic Division; Chief of Police in Richmond, MI for 7 yrs. and Supervisor of Security at DMC for 12 yrs.; member of Detroit Police Officers Assoc., Michigan Chief of Police Assoc., American Legion, very active at the OPC of Rochester and loved golfing; Funeral service 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W.
