Robert K. Sughroue

Sughroue, Robert Kern, 87, of Rochester Hills, born April 14, 1928 in Milwaukee to the late Leo and Elizabeth (Kern) Sughroue. Beloved husband of the late Ann (Gorenc) for 56 years; father of the late Maureen Sughroue, Kathleen (Dan) Banas, Patrick (Lori Cecil) Sughroue and Karen (Mark) Mannebach; grandfather of Maureen (Charlie) Vantine, Julie (Bryan) Piche', Andrew Mannebach, Daniel Banas, Lindsay Banas, Megan Sughroue, David (Katie) Hickok-Mannebach, Whitney Sughroue, Gabriel Banas and Amy Sughroue; great-grandfather of Averi, Charlie Jr., Luke and Wesley; uncle and cousin to many; brother-in-law of Lois (the late Roger) Sughroue and brother-in-law of John (Nancie) Gorenc. A native of Wisconsin, Bob and family lived for years in San Mateo, CA before settling and later retiring in Rochester Hills. He was loved and respected by his business colleagues and friends at Cadillac Products, Inc. (Troy), where he excelled in administration, labor relations and human resources. Bob enjoyed his many friends in the Detroit area and beyond. He liked his golf (scored a hole-in-one and attended the Masters), gardening and travel. He joyfully served his community as a volunteer and his church as a lector and Eucharist Minister, devoutly sharing the Gospel by how he lived. Visitation 3 - 8 p.m. with 7 p.m. Scripture Service, Monday July 27 at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr., downtown Rochester. Funeral Liturgy 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 28 at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 18301 23 Mile Rd., Macomb. Bob will lie instate from 9:30 a.m. until the start of Mass.
