Beloved husband of Gyurga for 35 years; loving father of Hristo and wife Ann and Deyan and wife Katelyn; and grandfather of Galena, Mirella, Liliya, and Natalie.
Rumen was born the son of Hristo T. and Yanka P. Kozhuharov in Plovdiv, Bulgaria on October 1, 1962. He graduated from Konstantin Preslavski University in Shumen, Bulgaria and received a diploma in biology and chemistry. Rumen married Gyurga Angelova Gospodarska on March 13, 1983 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
Rumen began his career as a teacher of Biology and Chemistry and later served as school principal. He started and ran two children’s clothing stores and was president and CEO of his hometown Cable TV network provider. Rumen and his wife started an Alterations business here in Sterling Heights, Michigan.
Rumen had a passion for cooking, traveling, and spending time with his family.
Rumen’s family will receive all for a visitation on Tuesday, February 5th, 2019 from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 322 West University Drive in downtown Rochester, Michigan. Burial will be immediately following the funeral service.
